Missions and Service

At the Christian Academy our students become involved in various missions and service throughout the year. They are not just learning how to be of value to God, Society, and Self... they are actively practicing what they have learned.

Our faculty and staff encourage students to be involved and they support and sponsor them for various programs the students are interested in.  Listed below are some current and past missions and service from the students.
  • Bibles for Ukraine public school
  • Disaster Relief
  • Quarters for India
  • Canned goods for the needy
  • Bibles for Africa
  • Christmas for the homeless
  • Dress down for cancer

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Col 3:17 (NIV)

CAMP NE-O-TEZ DAY OF SERVICE

Students from the Christian Academy spent a day helping at one of our sister organizations, Camp Neotez, as a part of a day of service.  Students made the hour journey to the camp in DeSoto, MO and helped with different projects to help prepare the camp for it's opening sessions coming in another month.  The school has other days of service they are planning for the 2012 - 2013 school year.  Even though students can individually work in different areas of service, the school also wants to give them opportunities to work together in service to others and to glorify God with the blessings they receive from serving.

CHURCHES OF CHRIST DISASTER RELIEF!

After the Good Friday Tornadoes hit the St. Louis area, the Overland Church of Christ working with the Nashville, TN Churches of Christ Disaster Relief program, had a semi-truck of supplies delievered to the Christian Academy as a disaster relief distribution site for the area.  Working with Darren Wisor, associate minister at the Overland Church of Christ, Christian Academy students, parents, faculty, and staff unloaded the truck and have been delivering supplies to those in need.  It has made quite an impression on all involved.  Students were excused from classes to deliver supplies to those areas impacted.  Victims of the storms have been overwhelmed by the generosity and all the helping hands. The students have been blessed to be a part of serving the community.
